Hunk of Meat

This is a casting of my body with the use of copper wire at the joints to encourage it to hang a bit more naturally, while not taking away from the plaster look of the form. Therefore it is both a representation of me and not a representation of just me.

It hangs listlessly from a meathook. This examines the concept of women’s bodies being treated as either meat or property, often stripping women of their rights as humans.
